EEROP started as a group on Ravelry (a knitting website) in January of 2010 as a way to connect crafters with established relief organizations that would deliver handmade items to orphans in Eastern Europe and Russia. Since its inception, the group has expanded to other crafts and general relief efforts to benefit orphans.
As EEROP continues to expand we are looking to become involved in orphan care advocacy both domestically and abroad. Our efforts include helping facilitate adoptions from EEROP supported orphanages and providing counseling services for adopting families and children.
EEROP is currently in the process of applying for non-profit, tax-exempt status and is always looking to expand our membership and contribution opportunities. Our hope is that we will become the single largest distributor of relief aid to orphans in Eastern Europe and Russia.
Welcome to the Eastern European and Russian Orphanages Project (EEROP). EEROP is designed for people who care about orphans living in some of the coldest and most desolate places on earth.
