Yearlong Stockpiling
Deadline: None
Help us build up our stockpile! Warm, handmade clothing is always needed by orphans in Eastern Europe and Russia. This year EEROP will be hosting a Yearlong Stockpiling campaign to help fill our donation bins. As needs present themselves we can then draw from our existing resources to quickly and effectively to help orphans. Each month we will focus on items that you can make or donate to help us in our efforts.

Blankets/Project 154
Deadline: Until every child has a blanket!
Warm blankets for infants, children, and teens are always needed. The winters in Eastern Europe and Russia start early and last a long time. A warm blanket can be used at night for sleeping, during the day for wrapping up, and for making a hard surface more comfortable. Blankets can also be shared or passed on to other children.
In Ukraine there is an orphanage with 54 children that we have identified by name and age (ETA: We have recently found out that there are now 75 children at this orphanage. While the name will stay the same we are including these new 21 children in our collection.). In Russia there is an orphanage in one of the most remote parts of Siberia with 100 children we have identified by name and age. Project 154 is a drive to collect/make a blanket for each of these children.
This campaign will be collecting squares to piece together into blankets or fully completed blankets. Any size from preemie through full sized afghans will be accepted. Any color and fiber content will be accepted as well. Blankets should we warm and dense for use during the long winters.
Specifics:
Sizes: Infant-teen with an emphasis on blankets large enough for children aged 6-18
Fabric/Fiber: any type of fabric/fiber/or material may be used
Acceptable donation types: knitted, crocheted, quilted/sewn, hand tied (click for an example), store bought, or gently used
